Controls seem far more professional than the GoPro Hero 6, Ability to interlink multiple Rx0s for multi-camera shooting, Rugged structure making it more resistant to drops and pressure, That huge one inch sensor making it great for low light footage, No Fisheye look, Zebra striping which shows you...

No 4K Video recording unless you connect it to an external recorder via MicroHDMI, Doesn’t have optical or electronic image stabilization, No GPS, Accessories are ridiculously expensive, User interface has a bit of a learning curve, More expensive than its counterparts, A bit tricky to get...

In one sense, the Sony RX0 is in its own category which makes it very difficult to judge. It’s part action camera, part compact camera, part multi-camera rig/ B-Roll/ C-Roll/ behind the scenes camera.

It looks like one, but it isn’t really an action camera; in fact, Sony’s RX0 is in a world of its own

No image stabilisation, No in-camera 4K recording, Short battery life
The amazing: So cool and tiny. 4:2:2 4K image out of the HDMI out is worth way more than its current price point. Waterproof 1080p in Slog2 is pretty amazing, as well. The terrible: When connected to its app, it overheats almost instantly. The battery life is also terrible. The focus is miserable.
This thing may be put down for not shooting 4K but it’s not designed in that sense. It has a bigger sensor than a 4k gopro so in reality you will see extremely better low light (night time) performance from this camera.
Used for stills, I really believe the RX0's sublime simplicity makes it more versatile, not less so. At least that's how it's worked out for me. Use mine almost daily, often as my A camera.
very good image but the overheating makes it impossible to use
I am a huge fan of the Sony A7S and A7R cameras. I use them for all my videography, and most of my photography.I pre-ordered an RX0 as a replacement for my GoPro. I was so excited to get a high-quality image out of a tiny camera.
The Sony has significantly better image quality (Sony 1080p looks better than GoPro 4k), more latitude for color correction and no image distortion. If I want stabilized footage without a tripod, I'll have to use a gimbal.
Well, I have just bought this camera, and on its first battery charging, the usb port cover has been lost ( very easy to loose). I have contacted BH and Sony. Sony authorized has sent me its price ( USD 99.00 for a very small plastic piece ), and even worse, they dont have these replacement parts.
the unit overheats in just about any environment and turns off. to me, this makes the unit unreliable and therefore USELESS. I'm returning it asap. should never waisted my time in the first place.
