The camera works quite well, but the viewfinder came loose on the 1st day of its first job. The clam that holds the viewfinder to the rod came loose. 2 issues: 1 - It's not a thumb screw so you'll need a tool to loosen it (Nice for being on set with producer staring at you) and 2: The screw STRIPPED...

I purchased this camera to have a tool able to film both corporate and short film productions. For the corporate needs, this is an amazing camera to work with. Looks professional, is professional. For the short film production at first I was a bit concerned about how it performs with low light.

The FS7 is by far the best camera I have owned and I have owned a lot. Great images, easy to use especially in cineEI mode. On the down side, the ergonomics are a little awkward, the XQD cards and Sony batteries are over priced and the menu system needs some work.

I reviewed this product a year ago, this is an update. While I use the camera for daily jobs, I also used the FS7 to shoot a feature film (Providence). I shot in 4K CINE-EI SLOG3 exclusively, with a 4 person crew.

I waited until a year after this camera was released to purchase it. I really wanted to see if it would live up to the hype. I can safely say, it does. This is the most excellent video camera I have ever used. The image is gorgeous, the specs are amazing, and overall performance is top notch.

I came from a C100 mark 2 (still like Canon Cine cameras) and the Sony is really impressive. I will say there is some learning curve and some very deep menus to master. It's worth it though. Many choices on configuration.

Other reviewers have said it all. Just wanted to add my voice here. This camera is amazing! But there is a little gem out there for those who shoot SLog3 like I do. A German videographer took the time to match his FS7 with his Arri Amira and create LUTs matching the two.

This camera does everything, the image quality is beautiful, i love shooting on Slog 2 and Slog 3. Slow motion is stunning. I have an FS7 mark 2 as well, and let me tell you something: the improvements were just all right, now with these two cameras I feel I can conquer the world...

We purchased this camera early this year and I have got to say I love it. We make documentaries and need to be comfortable shooting all day; which this camera solves. It also allows us to make more commercial narrative content without much of a trade off.

Last year, this was the camera I was waiting for, and it was well worth the wait. PROS: good ergonomics and balance with the XDCA unit and an Anton Bauer style battery. Great multifunctional handgrip. And a user friendly cinema mode that shoots excellent 10 bit SLog3.
