Sony have thought hard about what the user needs to know and do, made sure that the M10 gives them all the feedback they need, and have delivered it all in an ergonomically efficient and attractive little package.
A Sony PCMD‑series recorder at a relatively affordable price., Potential 20GB of storage., Good signal‑level feedback., Big, ergonomic display., Capable of clear, balanced recordings., Remote for transport controls.
Mic positions are fixed., Some functions buried too deeply in menus., Not the cheapest thing on the market.
Great recorder! Very intuitive and easy to use. Recorder live band situations and clarity is really good. The internal mics are very sharp and sensitive.
Since I've purchased the M10 a few months ago, it's been my sole recorder for both outdoor field recording ambiances and also studio recording sound effects. It's also easy to keep in my pocket to carry around and record random sounds that I encounter while I'm on the go.
