Massive bass response. No distortion at top volume levels. Decent clarity in highs. Exceptionally comfortable.

Bass is way too dialed-up to be accurate. No way to listen passively via an audio cable. No protective pouch.

Thanks to its price, ergonomic design, and overall sound quality, the Sony MDR-XB650BT is a good choice for bass lovers that are looking for a Bluetooth headset on the go. While the empowering bass and recessed mids might not please others, it is still a contender for its price range.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and music at the day job. I’ve been using the same wired earbuds for years but my recent purchase of a Moto Z has led me to reevaluate things. Of course, I could just continue using the same earbuds with a 3.5mm>USB-C adapter but what’s the fun in that?

Sony has always been a pioneer when it comes to music. And the latest addition to its MDR range, the MDRXB650BT headphones, do its reputation no harm at all. We have seen many Bluetooth headsets but this one from the company is certainly eye catching for those who are looking for a stylish headset.

The Sony MDR-XB650BT is a decent pair of headphones, and delivers decently-balanced yet powerful audio delivery. The bass bias does sound jarring in certain areas, but for the most part, it succeeds in pleasing you with the audio.

Audio lacks warmth and tightness, Uncomfortable in extended wear, Buttons are difficult to operate
