After spending some time with the ICD-SX2000 it’s clear that this is not Sony’s first pass at building a digital audio recorder. We found it great for capturing on-the-spot musical and audio ideas, recording the sound of a specific venue, or grabbing quick sound files for video and filmmaking.
The Sony ICD-SX2000 is an elegant looking small lightweight matte black digital recorder which replaces the discontinued PCM-M10. It is narrower, longer, a little thinner and half the weight of PCM-M10 and much smaller and lighter than the PCM-D100 I have been using for the past 2 years.
This is a compact voice recorder with nice features like remote Bluetooth and built in battery. The only negatives would be the noisy preamps and no line out option. However, it's not really a field recorder like the discontinued PCM-10.
This is my newest favorite recorder. has great features that you can't get with other digital recorders. good Quality sound, USB connection to upload built in. So many features. Check out YouTube reviews online. can work with an app on my phone too....
