I really have to say, I'm enjoying this lens - I have other more expensive sony fe lenses and while they are good, I can't say they all outshine this one for everyday use. On the a7ii it's great - colours are spot on, and even in low light it's pretty good!
My very first lens with the A7Sii, very reliable and balanced. I’ve been using it for over a year now, it’s my default go-to unless I’m using a specialty lens now.
Good lens with nice image quality, albeit you're often at F5.6 due to the variable aperture. Definitely worth the price, though.
Cannot match up with A7iii. Soft pictures and noisy at low light. Should buy Tamron 28-75 f2.8 at $799
I bought this lens as a kit lens with the Alpha 7 Mark II. I was a bit hesitant to buy this lens as there were mixed reviews, some reviewers saying to get something else. However, it is quite cheap when bought as part of a kit.
Purchased second hand as a general walk around lens, I am surprisingly pleased with the general sharpness and field of vision of this budget kit lens. Light enough to keep in your bag if you are carrying other lenses that do not cover its range.
It is an original. Light and precise. The IQ is average
It's just really not that sharp. It's pretty hard to get sharp focus on people and most of the images I get feel pretty soft. Just not a huge fan.
Literally my most used lens.
As kit lenses go, this one is pretty decent. Great lens to have on a budget.
