I used Sony's 2X convertor with with Sony's 200mm-600mm FANTASTIC lens attached to Sony's A6500 on a tripod. Set @ 600mm focal length. EQIV= 1,800 focal length, F13. "AZALEA" Distance from flower to camera sensor 22 feet.(estimate)

I've been using my FE 2.0x teleconverter on both my a9 and a7RIII, in combination with my FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens. The performance is excellent in sunny light, shooting at f/11.It's very important to use the correct AF mode for the circumstances.

On some A7R3 cameras this will give you a false sense of auto focus capability until you go home and process your blurry pics. Always manually focus after 650mm on this beast. If you have the A9 camera, it will perform a little better than the r2 and r3 series.

Amazingly good, especially compared to 2x Canon converters I have used. I tested this on a Sony A7rMk2 with the 100-400mm Sony GM lens and a focus test chart. I compared images taken with a Canon 800mm (with Metabones adapter) on the A7r2 against images with the Sony 100-400 at 400mm and the 2x on a...

This is perfect for my Sony 100-400 mm lens and a7Riii. Should have bought this one instead of my 1.4 teleconverter last year. Big Manfrotto tripod with gear head makes it easy to take photos of ships in the harbor, 3 miles away, 800 mm.

I used the 2x with my Sony a9 100mm - 400mm zoom. This made it 800mm at max. I went to the San Francisco Zoo and shot about 27 animals at max. Most were great, clear, sharp shots but I did get about 5 shots that showed problems with focus & vibration control.

Recently I took approximately 100 pictures of birds and small animals. I used Sony FE 2.0 Teleconverter with my SEL100400GM and Sony A7RII. It was a perfect match. I did not notice any significant auto/manual focus or sharpness issues.

I got this to add to my Sony 400mm f2.8. It's a perfect fit. The lens still focuses quickly and before you know it you have an 800mm f5.6. You can program a button to go to crop sensor and then you have an image that looks even closer.

Okay, here's the thing, I got this because I was a little frustrated that the 70 - 200 mm zoom only goes to 200. I've never used a converter before. Maybe I'm naive, but what I didn't realize is that F2.8, one of the huge selling points of the zoom lens, is no longer possible.

I like this teleconverter for the extra length, but you should expect the focusing to be a tad bit slower than when using the 70-200 without the converter. I had some issues with the lens hunting more than usual, especially when trying to do shots of a track meet and also had some trouble with dogs.
