The Sony FE 135mm f1.8 G Master is a telephoto prime lens designed for its Alpha series of full-frame mirrorless cameras, capturing a classic telephoto view that’s ideal for tighter portraits shot from a distance with minimal distortion.
I've had this lens since 2014 and it is absolutely the best lens in my bag. I feel fortunate for being able to buy it when it first came out and that it is and A-Mount.Like everyone else says, it is big and heavy, but that's the tradeoff when you see the results.
Ok, just so you know I’m one picky bas…! Having sold my Leica gear including my Leica super-primes I know a thing or two about quality glass. When I decided to buy the A900 and this wonderful lens I knew I was buying the very best combo for portraits.

Great for Low-Light with Smooth Bokeh

Lens Hood fit-up is weak
Image quality is stunning. I'm no professcional but can easily see the difference between this lens and my others. Contrast is rich and detalied. There is no distoration to speak of and the bokeh is creamy smooth. Just look at some of the reviews. Great for potraits, landscape.
WOW is the word that can describe this lens. As soon as I got this lens home, took a test shot and was amazed by picture quality. Attached the test shot to this review.. This is the lens that always stays on my A900.

1. Focus ring - could have been better - very slight wobble / 2. SSM and weather sealing would be nice.
My budget required I choose between upgrading my Sony SLT A65 camera or getting this lens. I chose the lens and I'm glad I did. Although I'm a novice at best, I've received good compliments on some of the photos I took at a recent basketball game from a family member.
It is a wonderful lens, loved it in very shot, beautiful photos effortless. it's pricy I know but worth it, you will want to own one.
This is a great lens for close up portrait shot. The image is very sharp and the quality of the bokeh is outstanding on this lens. Highly recommend to those who have Sony DSLR!!
