Sony FDR-AX43 UHD 4K Handycam Camcorder

overall the camera shoots excellent video in low and high speed frame mode. the start up is less then 3 seconds from power button/opening side viewer and it is recording. play back is easy to access when quick reviews are needed.

There are not so many traditional camcorders available now and this one has been around for some time. However, it does produce very good quality videos. I have had several Sony camcorders and I needed a replacement as I lost several videos due to the last one failing badly in hot weather.

Good quality images and easy to use. Feels a bit plastic so not sure how robust it will be. Wish I'd gone for a model with an eye peice viewfinder as difficult to see the screen in bright areas.

I had an FDR AX43 for about 3 years and now I have bought an AX43A. The screen is brighter and higher resolution on the 43A.

Wasn't too sure if this camera would be able to record audio directly from a mixing desk so that we could get a good all round recording of the band. It did the job. Picture quality was excellent. Sound quality via the cameras own microphone was ok but for the price it is as good as you can get.

This is an incredible camera, and is definitely 4K. The problem is the auto focus sometimes takes too long to sharpen up and if you are extremely picky like me it is a little frustrating.

Camcorders might be out of fashion but this one is amazing value, and the inbuilt gimbal does a fabulous job of stabilising the picture. Great image quality too. Recommended.

It's a pleasure to use this camera as it's always been the case with Sony cameras. My only complaint is the frame rate for 4K is set at 25fps. There's no 30p. The footage looks amazing regardless.
