The FDR-AX1 is a powerful tool with 4K internal recording up to 60 fps off of an Exmor 8.3MP CMOS sensor. One of the things making this camera great for professionals and home users alike is the array of function buttons around the camera giving easy access to many key options.

Let me just state for the record - The Ed Rogers Videogame Foundation (truly a worthy cause I understand) gratefully accepts generous donations...;) I haven't really investigated 4k compatible editing software. Which platforms support it? I love the demo video. Nice! Well done.

The Sony FDR-AX1 is a 4K camcorder that comes in at a low $4498 price tag and is really the first of its kind in bringing affordable 4K to the masses with its lightweight XAVC-S codec.

I knew I was taking a risk purchasing a lower quality set of batteries and charger, and for good reason. The charger seems to work fine, however one battery will work in my video lights, but will not charge. The 2nd battery works fine.

The camera creates a grainy image in low light situations, not sure why. I've gotten both good and bad quality out of it, and the batteries are a real problem in that they are hard to keep charged.

Purchased this for my DSLR LimoStudio 160 LED Video Light Light and it works well. Takes a bit to charge but gives me long life on the light.
