I've used the ECM-77B to record about 35 documentary-style interviews in the past year. I'm consistently impressed with the quality of recording it produces. I don't want to speak to its noisiness in any way because I think it varies depending on your setup, but I use it with a Tascam digital...
We use this for sit down interviews all over the world. Our mics are beat up in luggage, carted in backpacks to small villages and always sound the same. I rent these out and they come back fine. Sound quality is probably a 8-9 out of 11.
This mike has a good pattern, small enough to hide, great for the speaking vocal range, and essential for use with Sony transmitters. Sony transmitter pack a lot into their signal, (encryption, pairing signal, along with the freq.
I use this mic for making tutorial videos. I use Rode invisilav to hide my mic(also noisefree) and attach on teachers body. And use zoom h4n for recording audio saparately. Great sound. Noisefree.
Use this microphone in the past twenty years, the sound quality is very best & very low noise. I've got 2 ECM77 & 1 set ECM88.
Good microphone. Thanks.
Used by students in a college news program these mics are durable and provide good sound under a variety of conditions.
First time buy for videoing interviews. Recommended buy a pro. Perfect for my needs!
Great mics. I use these for legal video. Very solid and great audio
