I haven't used it extensively yet, but I am more elderly now and my breathing was showing up in the audio when I shot video on my A1. I bought this microphone to fix it. I set it to Shotgun, Noise Canceling and -10 db Attenuation (where it was set at unboxing).
Excellent microphone. The digital connection eliminating the need for cables makes it well worth the price tag. Just make sure you have a compatible camera in order to take full advantage of the technology.
