The Sony E 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS is a refreshingly different approach compared to most of the competition. It's not a purposely under-designed lens for cost-cutting measurements. This is most obvious with respect to its build quality - the stylish metal body clearly stands out from the rest of the...
I thought long and hard about getting this lens. It's 50% more expensive than the Sony a6000 body, so it's not a small investment. But I took it, along with a 38mm, each attached to a Sony a6000 body, on a photo workshop in Cuba this spring. It's heavy. It's somewhat bulky. It is worth it? Yes!
It does okay, I bought this for sports to get a big zoom across the field or court. For the price, there are better lens out there. I wouldn't buy this again after having it for a year and seeing better lens out there.
I am a landscape photographer and own several full frame dslr's. there are times, however when I don't feel like carrying a big camera bag full of gear. This small lens is perfect for those times.
Durable, Easy To Use, Great optics, Lightweight, Quality build, Quiet autofocus
This lens is awesome. I bought it for my FS100, and couldn't be happier. The "lens-crawl" issue everyone else has been complaining about must have been resolved, as my lens does not do move unless I move it -- even when the camera faces 90 degrees to the ground.
Good all rounder, excellent build quality, super sharp, active stabilizer
none so far
Great Product!!! All around lens! Sharp image and color!!!
I'm using this lens on my Sony A6500 and I really like it's performance! The auto focus etc. work perfectly! Worth the money, as far as I'm concerned.
Love this lens for an all in one. While it may have distortion and is not as good as expensive 24-70s and 70-200 the convenience factor more than makes up for it.
The only drawback to this lens is that I received it the day before I left for the vacation for which I purchased the lens. I feel if you purchase it, you should have an hour or so....or maybe more....to play around with it to make sure you know it! Same with any photographic equipment.
Was unsure whether to purchase reading some comments about the size compared with the camera body. However, I find it very comfortable to hold and also looks fine. Good quality and well built. Easy to use. Quite pricey but very impressed with this lens.
Great lense. Purchased mine used. I took a picture in full zoom and no zoom and was supper impressed with the quality.
