Compared to its peers, the RX10 III is the best all-around bridge camera on the market. The 1"-type stacked CMOS sensor offers the same (that is, very good) performance as its predecessor, while the new lens reaches from a wide angle of 24mm all the way to 600mm without any real optical compromises.
Great travel camera! This is the best "all in one" camera on the market right now. The improved image sensor in this model provides stunning image quality and excellent 4K video clips. I had the original RX10 and really liked that camera.
I wanted this to be my magic bullet my do all one camera system. Images were spectacular, zoom range was incredible, albeit slow electronic zoom to get from wide to tele. The 4K video was sharp and smooth best I have ever used, the slow motion capabilities were mind blowing although I was not a...
I sold my DSLR with all the lenses for this , an all in one perfect camera that also gives you unmatched zoom capabilities especially for Slowmotion. A perfect product from all aspects. Highly recommended. Check the quality of Slowmotion I was able to to with it. [...]
When you look at this camera, you must refrain from the apples-to-oranges comparisons. That is, this is a "bridge camera" with a 1" sensor and a "honkin'" 24-600 mm lens. Experience tells us not to expect too much from an arguably niche camera like this. But preconceived notions can be wrong.
Absolutely best zoom I've ever had. Picture quality is amazing. Haven't really taken it for a long test drive, but so far very, very pleased.
The Sony RX10 III was purchased as an All-In-One Travel solution and, for that, it excels. Having an immense 24-600mm focal range without having to use multiple lenses just eliminates all the hassle and covers you for most scenarios.
Best In Class 4k Video, Fast Zeiss Lens, Feature Packed, Improved Af Performance, Super Focal Range, Super Slow Motion Video, Well Built
It Is Expensive
I bought this a couple of weeks ago to take with me on my trip to Holland and travelling due to its 24-600mm lens. I've used it a bit before to get some practice. So far so good! Has all the manual controls of a DSLR and I don't need to worry about lots of different lenses!
Great camera but menu complicated and battery life, even when camera turned off is dreadful.
Still evaluating after 2 weeks. Menu system takes a bit of getting used to. Picture quality is above average for this sort of camera - quality on full 600mm zoom not as good as dedicated dslr lens cameras. Spare batteries very difficult to get hold of. Motor zoom a bit slow.
Delighted with results & still exploring all the features of this camera.
