Great for those who want to start having total control over her photos and videos, the Sony DSC-H400 is a bridge camera with countless features and, in particular, a high zoom, the optical image stabilizer, an electronic viewfinder and full manual controls.
Manual controls; Zoom high; Electronic Viewfinder; Optical Image Stabilizer; Intelligent Auto Mode automatically; Autonomy; Resolution; Opening goal.
No support for the RAW format; HD movies only; Display resolution is not very high.
If you simply must have the most optical zoom possible, then the Sony Cyber-shot H400 certainly has it, with a 63x optical zoom lens. To get the best out of the camera you are best sticking to ISO400 or lower, as well as using a tripod when using the full zoom, to make sure shots are sharp.
63x optical zoom lens, Optical Steadyshot image stabilisation, Electronic viewfinder with dioptre correction, Intelligent Auto and backlight mode, Manual controls, Good value for money, 1cm macro mode
Poor panoramic image quality, Limited number of effects, Small electronic viewfinder, Detail lost above ISO400, 720p video recording, Purple fringing
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H400 is a rather unexciting super-zoom camera with one stand-out feature, at least in marketing terms - its mammoth 63x, 24.5-1550mm lens. Whilst this sounds incredible on paper and is sure to gain the DSC-H400 more attention than it perhaps deserves, the reality of trying to...
I had a 50X camera with the Cyber Shot and I had sold that one because I figuered with the 63X I could get closer pictures of the airplanes. Well I was wrong. To me its pretty much the same picture, the camera seems to be lighter were when I try and hold on to it the camera moves the object more and...
PROS: Name brand, zoom, ability to shoot pics in low light, picture editing CONS: heavy, doesn't come with a memory card, doesn't capture quality shots in motion, difficulty focusing when more than one landscape object is in view, returning camera for a Canon with WiFi capabilities
When I first received this camera I almost sent it back. Then I decided to put it to the test just to see what it could accomplish. I am glad I kept this camera. The color renditions are spot on.
This is my second sony cybershot the first was a much older model from 2003. Over all I am very happy with this camera. I recently used it on a trip to Costa Rica. The landscape shots were awesome. The wildlife shots were great too if the wildlife was still.
Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color
Lag / Shutter Delay, Short Battery Life
I received the Sony DSC-H400 as a gift for Easter 2016. I was happy initially with it as a great camera to learn manual settings on and tune my photography skills. However, by December (the first day of a vacation no less) it stopped reading the memory card and I will be in the middle of taking a...
great camera and so easy to use, could have used better instructions to have been included
Huge zoom but let down by speed, takes a long time between photos. Battery life poor.
A great buy for anyone starting out in photography. Purchased for my 13 year old, easy to use, amazing pictures and a sturdy camera.
Needed a new camera and this one was exceptional,it was as if you just had to point and it would do all the rest!!
J'étais sceptique compte tenu du prix. Mais non, fait le travail amplement. En plus, une prise européenne!
