The Sony Master Series A90J line of TVs has an impressively bright OLED panel with one of the widest color ranges we've seen, along with powerful audio performance on par with dedicated speakers, making it worth the high cost of entry.
Very wide color gamut, Bright for an OLED panel, Impressive audio performance, Hands-free Google Assistant, Attractive design
Expensive, Not as bright as a high-end LCD
Sony is making a strong comeback in the high-end class with its new top model: the Bravia XR-A90J has the highest brightness we have measured from an OLED TV, ever!
Sony's new top model serves beautiful and contrast-rich image quality with immensely strong brightness, plus excellent sound from the hidden speakers.
Only two of the four HDMI inputs are HDMI 2.1 compatible. Oh, the expense!
I expected an exceptional TV and it went above and beyond my expectations. Picture is the best I've ever seen and the sound is crisp and clear. I find myself skipping my surround system and listening just to the TV speakers. Well worth the money.
Picture and sound
The picture quality for this tv is so great! This is my first Sony tv & I'm blown away at how great this tv is. It was super easy to put together, I like that you can change the leg stand if you don't have a sound bar to put under it.
Due to recent Android Update all Sony TV's with X1 Extreme will not allow new Apple TV 4K to turn off TV. You will have to use 2 remotes. This is a known issue that has been going on for 6 months.
Great picture and sound although I did turn up the bass a little. I have stopped using the soundbar for the moment. its very thin which is good although the wide legs made it too wide for my unit. It has no podium stand and so I had to buy the after market product recommended by the Sony Centre.
Surely one of, if not the best TV on the market. Would be 5 stars if it had UK catch up apps.
I bought this as a replacement for my 2015 Bravia, and am delighted I did. The quality of the OLED screen is second to none, with all sources displayed vividly; sound quality from the in-panel speakers is great.
Incredible TV that never ceases to amaze! Bright, colourful and beautiful. What more could you want from a TV?!
Excellent TV, i love the light-up remote. Sony could maybe learn from Samsung about a simple v a complex remote though. Really really good sound, I have now sold my soundbar, as the tv doesn't need it (and I am fussy about sound quality). the blacks are so inky rich.
Happy with the new product and I do hope it's value for my money
My first oled I ever owned replacing my old sony x900c from 2015. I'm absolutely floored by the picture and sound quality. Movies have never looked or sounded better. Even my old dvds have a new lease of life with the upscaling.
