With an amazing picture that matches but doesn't exceed LG's 2017 OLED TVs, the Sony XBR-A1E isn't worth the premium for most high-end shoppers.

+
With the exception of other 2017 OLED TVs, the Sony XBR-A1E outperforms every other TV we've tested. It delivers perfect black levels, wide viewing angles, accurate color and a great bright-room picture. Its unique stand-less design is almost all picture when seen from the front.

It has the same image quality as less expensive LG OLED TVs.

As a company Sony have always been at the cutting edge in terms of their design and the A1 is the most eye-catching TV they’ve made to date.

I've wanted an OLED TV for years and am glad I waited. The Sony OLED picture and design are amazing. I previously owned an LG 1080p TV and hated the magic wand remote. With the Sony, even the most simple content, such as the news, looks amazing.

None I can think of at this moment
Coming from several Panasonic plasmas (last being the ST60), no LCD/LED TV was going to be satisfactory, including the Sony Z9D. Having carefully considered the more affordable LG B6/E6 OLED, I ruled it out due to the poor handling of near-black tones; that unit essentially lost fine detail and made...
Had this tv for a couple of weeks now & I'm blown away by it, picture is really good on all media, sky, yuoview, free view & 4K is brilliant, upscales everything.
Absolutely delighted with this TV. We are still using a Bose soundbar but the sound quality from the set is better than any previous flatscreen TV I have previously owned. Stands sturdily on the table without any fear of being knocked over. The 8 million pixels make great viewing on UltraHD.
I AM DELIGHTED TO HAVE A TELEVISION WITH SUPERB PICTURE.I WAIT FOR SKY SOUNDBOX TO ENHANCE SOUND QUALITY FURTHER.
The Sony A1 is by far the most beautiful TV I have ever owned, both in terms of the design and picture quality. 4K content looks stunning, most 1080P is upscales beautifully and the sound is exellent, to the point I am selling my Yamaha Sound Bar.However while the hardware is near perfection the...
