Handling and features A prime lens with that provides an angle of view equivalent to a 52.5mm lens on a 35mm camera and sports a fast f/1.8 maximum aperture, optical image stabilisation and a lightweight, compact design.
This is the lens that stays on my A6000. It is fast and can be incredibly sharp. I also like the boost in effective ISO from OSS (optical steady shot).
Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged
I used it for a few shots with my NEX5N, solid performance in low light and I like the DOF it can provide compared to the kit lens. If you looking for a prime lens for your E mount camera, this is the one to consider
low light performance
Cost more compared to Sony 50mm prime, if you don't do need the reach in tight space should consider the 50mm with similar f stops
I haven't had anything to complain about with this lens. I bought it as a walk around lens. It's lightweight and quiet. It takes fantastic images. I used it at my 8year old's birthday and was able to compose a wonderful story set for her.
Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
Makes me love the A6000 even more. Loved shooting fast primes with my Canon outfit and this lens took my a6000 to the next level. Use it as a walk around, much better than the kit lens that came on there.
Must have for any Sony system user. You look at the price/performance and it is one of the best around. The good f stop and sharpness are a wonderful and pleasant for the eye. I returned my 50mm for this item. It was this lens or the zeiss 32mm.
I bought my a6000 in 2015. I was looking for a light weight camera that could take great pictures. I soon realized that a single charge did not last very long. I could only get about 2 hours from the battery.
Got this lens last April 2013 and so impressed with the quality of the pictures I had taken. Lens was so quick to focus and shots were so crisp. Low -light shots for indoors is now less of a problem.
