I bought this lens to replace my Tamron 18-200mm travel lens and it was the right decision! The Sony lens is much sharper, faster, smoother and it provides much nicer Bokeh backgrounds. I've taken great landscape photographs as well as portraits and even pictures of flowers and nature look great.
I purchased this lens after looking at multiple other lens. I have to say it is my main lens at the moment. I use it more than the others due to the great range and flexibility it provides. the pictures that I have taken with it are very good, crisp, clear, sharp.
great range, flexibility
For this price, the lens is well worth having. For my type of photography this is just the lens I need in my case.
What a great lens. Beautiful pictures. Use it on my A55 and couldn't be any more happier. Great walk around lens.
I've had this lens for a couple weeks now. It came in a bundle along with my a65 camera. It focus very fast and there isn't much distortion at full zoom even though it has aspherical elements. I would definitely recommend this lens to someone.
Sharp, Fast Focus, Very Little Distortion for an aspherical Lens
None So Far
I bought the Sony 18-135mm Alpha lens as an upgrade to the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my Sony A65 camera, as I wanted more flexibility and creative choice in my photography. I've had the 18-135mm lens for some time now and have really enjoyed using it and have got some excellent results.
Very versatile lens. This is my second set for me of this lens. Very useful and has great range. Easy to use and handle.
Both my wife and I transitioned from Minolta to SONY without a hitch. This lens fits the bill when the grandchildren are around. With 16,000 plus photos in iPhoto, I'm sure we will hit 17,000 in a short time. We had a long range zoom, it was fine. This zoom is short and sweet.
not a bad lens, now using as my main lens over the lens got with the kit
I have had this lens for about 8 months now and it has become my everyday go-to lens...it has never disappointed me and is very flexible for a wide range of different pics.
