It's a pricey lens, but it allows some creativity not found in any other type of lens. Fisheye has been around for a long time, there's a reason for that. the images produced add something different.
It is a great lens for specific uses. Gives dramatic pictures. My only concern is that it seems to be a gray market lens. Needs to be sent to Germany for repairs. However I have never needed to repair a lens. I am happy with the lens. \ I would recommend it to others.
I use this lens with my A900 and it works perfectly. Fantastic shots possilbe. Rapid focus. Decent corner quality. Very hard not to get your fingers and feet into the picture. Hilareous close ups. Once you've run the image through curvature correction you'll see how great it is to have.
Superb lens all around.
Stupid lens cap bag thing.
The wide range of focus, depth of field and exceptional color clarity makes it most useful
Be it social photography or structurals this lense serves me well.
I think I might like to put a polarizer on it when shooting scenics.
