Simple but pricey, the Sonos Port provides an easy two-way extension of your Sonos network, allowing for integration of non-Sonos stereo gear.

Clear, balanced and detailed, Analogue and digital connections, Class-leading app

Poor organisation and timing, Little dynamic expression, Severe lack of punch

The set-up software is getting worse - ridiculously difficult to attach a NAS. Feels more like a green screen approach than something current. The app is also clunky to use. The app also seems to be taking backward steps on the UI/UX.

I should have paid more attention to the critical reviews. Sonos, like other popular tech companies has gathered a very large cult following which seem to attract a wide audience who love the products. The Sonos idea is awesome, and for the most part, the software functions that way it should.

Look I just need a box to take streams off the internet and dump them into my DAC. This box does that and setup was easy.

Purchased two Ports to replace Connects. Used the trade in reduction provided by Sonos. They were easy to set up and the sound quality equals the Connects when using the digital output to an external DAC. I have not listened to the analog output of the Port.

One less digital output than the old connect

This product is awesome! So easy to set up and operate. I use it as a Wi-Fi streaming source for my whole house speaker system. Connects quickly to the amplifier that powers that system. And I'll connect my CD player through it as well. Typical SONOS quality and ease of use.

I am 66 years old and moderately tech literate. The interface on my phone befuddled me when I want to switch from Alexa music back to " line in" (my steteo). I get very frustrated and think to myself this is not used friendly.

This is a great product to add an existing system into the Sonos ecosystem. There isn't much to it. Just hook up the rca or digital outputs to your selected input and you're ready. Just a little disappointed with the price and lack of a toslink (optical) output.
-
+
Very compact, easy to set up, and works well.
-
-
A bit spendy and they cut out the toslink (optical) output.

This replaces the Connect. At a time when Sonos is improving products across the board, this is several steps back. First it is way more expensive than it should be and then the Connect ever was.

This is a very nice product. Easy to install and configure. We have two of them and two Amps. They work well with our existing systems and provide a seamless integration.I would definitely purchase again.

Port works fine with wirelessly connecting to Sonos speakers. When attempting to play Sonos speakers as well as wired ceiling speakers at the same time, with the wired speakers being powered by a stereo receiver, it is impossible to play them both in sync.
