I have a fairly heavy Canon XL2 camcorder and I needed an inexpensive but well made tripod that could handle the weight. Although I do have to tighten the tilt adjustment almost completely to keep the front-heavy camcorder from dipping forward, this tripod handles it very well.
The one I had from a couple of years ago would tilt-lock fairly securely. Not this anymore. As tight as you make it,, it still slips- making it imprecise for framing your shot.
Great for the money. Sturdy. Decent head. Configures to most shooting situations easily. Legs spread out flat for low shots -- also, center post can flip for super low shots (you just have to flip them in edit).
Bought this for my SLIK M410 Master Pro Deluxe tripod that I have had forever (35+years). The original pan/tilt head is rock solid but I wanted a fluid head for my new Canon T5i for video & panaramas.

Tripod is well made and durable. It does everything a tripod should. Swivels in every imaginable direction. Only con is that it needs at least one more bubble level.
The head is pretty fliud, however it doesn't seem to lock in place in terms of panning and it spins pretty freely. Trying to figure it out but being that I've been using tripods for 8+ years I don't think it should be this difficult.
