I use a Gitzo Series GT3542XLS with an Arca Swiss Z1SP ball head for normal use....But try lugging around Europe for 3 weeks! I tried a small Oben carbon fiber for travel and it was just pain to use and many churches etc frown on tripod set up.
Bought this to go with my DA* 60-250 mounted on a K-30. I also picked up the Sirui K-20x ballhead (smoooooth) with it. Very nice setup, if you have big hands you can twist/unlock all 5 sections, but my hands (5'9") only do 4, which is perfect for my eye level anyways.
Weight, Build, Ease of use
5 sections makes it very compact, but the twist locks make it quick, easy and positive to deploy or collapse. Fully extended, it's still rigid with any load that I have to place on it.
I bought the Sirui P-326 for a trip to the mountains. In the past while hiking I had used a great Sirui carbon fiber tripod. I'm glad that I purchased the Sirui P-326 it was easier to use and just as functional.
Yes it is worth a second look!
Wow what a great deal. Super light, strong enough and when combined with a sturdy monopod head, a highly useful tool at a great price.
I bought this monopod to take the place of a larger and heavier aluminum monopod. I like to travel light and spend alot of time at the zoo. I usually only carry one camera/lens and a tele converter along with a monopod.
Its very light and compact. The closed length is great for travel. I use it for my Canon 70D with Tamron 18-400. It is sturdy enough for this camera and light enough to take anywhere
Used it to shoot a 3 day event with the Sigma 120-300mm Sport and I could not have managed without it. It's small and lightweight and fits into a tiny carrying case.Amazing buy.
This monopod is just right for my requirements. Strong, sturdy, small, light weight, tube extension is quick and easy, accommodates both camera and ball head threads. Packs nicely, extension/collapse is easy and solid (no slip). Meets all of my needs, likely yours as well. Highly recommended.
