Exactly what I was looking for
I was delighted when I received the monopod. It looked solid and felt solid. Soon my delight turned to dismay when I opened the monopod, extended it, and the top section wouldn't collapse back in ! It made me sad because I really liked everything else.
Opened it, extended it, and the top section wouldn't collapse back in. Had it delivered to a pro golf event where I was working to replace a previous (different brand) monopod that broke.
I am using this product with a Nikon D610 and a nikon 200-500 lens
traveling to Africa and shooting out of a Land Rover or on a walking safari, a monopod is very handy....and this one is the best I have used. The rotating head lets you pan, the feet give stability, its short length lets you pack it, its light weight helps it meet the weight limits for small intra...
Despite checking the size, etc. it's still bigger/heavier in person than expected. As other Sirui products this one is very well built and a great value. I find the bottom head to be a bit too stiff, but the detachable legs are a huge bonus.
This is a geat monopod. It has the right weight and look of pro equipment. The Stand alone feature is super but make sure you don't extend to high, it gets usstable. The options to change it to fit the occasion is super. I don't need to be concern about what type of floor or ground I'm working on.
If you are considering this piece of equipment, stop looking and buy this !I spend the long winters researching photographic equipment, So I can spend every penny of my money on my photographic addiction !
I use the monopod primarily for traveling; it's light and tall enough (72") that I don't have to stoop. It's very stiff and you can stand on the folding feet to really nail it down
Excellent monopod by Sirui. This is my second monopod by this company and both are excellent products. I love the flexibility the monopod offers. When I tested it, offers much, much more flixibility then MAFROTTO 561BHDV. As a matter of fact I have sold the Manfrotto.
