This is one amazing piece of equipment, very versatile, lightweight and ajustable, even with my DLSR with my 70-200 it's very sturdy for a mono/tri-pod.
Awesome monopod for video!
After the monopod was extended, it was stuck and would not close. Cannot say how it worked because I could not use it.
I use this monopod for photography at locations that prohibit the use of tripods; shoots where I need stability but also the flexibility to move around a lot, and shoots where I need to be less visible.
I got this for some hiking, family outdoor events, sitting in the third row for my daughter's recitals. Amazing fit and finish. Nothing else I have comes close. The only weakness is the panning foam grip; there isn't any drag. Just lock it and forget it.
I have only test used it at home. It works as described by the manufacturer. However, you need to be careful not to twist tighen the knobs to tigh, or you may have trouble untighten it. Also, the hinges of the 3 legs are slightly flexible which may cause some sway.
I purchased and then returned it. It is a very heavy duty and well made monopod. My issue is that it is heavier than my travel tripod so it diidnt make sense keep it If you are doing back country photography and carry your gear on your back over long distances. This probably is not the best choice.
First off, it's so well made, beautiful attention to detail. I always loved my Gitzo kit, but this is up a notch from that. You've obviously done the research here, you're looking for a monopod with "feet" and you've seen the Manfrotto which does a great job too.
Great monopod! I had the manfrotto version but being able to lock the base and being able to walk away while my camera stands is priceless. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the panning I find to loose however I just tighten it and use a manfrotto MVH500 head's pan.
