I have only had this a short while, but I am so far very pleased with this ball head. My initial tests with it supporting my heaviest and longest lense (a 55-300) have not disappointed me.
I have used this head on an Induro CT214 tripod for about 2 years, at least once a week, supporting about 5 or 6 lbs of gear, sometimes more. Previously I have used a variety of heads, including the Sirui K-20x.
I bought this head to top my new W-2004 Sirui aluminum tripod which, btw- I really like. It is a sturdy compliment to my tripod. I have a problem with the panning element which grinds roughly on a slightly snugged adjustment. When it is freestyle loose it is smooth as a babes bottom.
Perfect for my 1dx70-200/2.8 and for my hasselblad h5d
This ball-head was recommended by photographerJimmy McIntyre in one of his tutorials. I wanted to try a ball-head with an Arca-Swiss style quick release, since my Manfrotto ball-head quick release wasn't very solid. So far I'm very happy with it.
I have my Sirui tripod with K-30x ball head for less than a week, I am enjoying and loving it. Thanks, Sirui for a great tripod and ball head.
This is very solid ball head, very smooth panning, knobs are well build and solidly tighten setting. The only issue is the plate mounting screw set up. It works well with short lenses but it failed keep camera rotate off the plate when 5D III and 100-400 II rotate in portrait shooting.
Great, sturdy ball head. I watched a video on You Tube to calibrate it. I couldn't be happier. It handles my Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 70-200 f/2.8, Canon 2x extender with ease. I have the Sirui T-2205x carbon fiber tripod and a Sirui monopod and pan head. I'm thrilled with all of them.
Does everything I want. I would buy again
Nice smooth action when using my Sony A7Rii and 70-300mm lens combo (much better than the K20x I tired). The safety quick release works on my L-bracket too. I tried a couple of more expensive ball heads that I did not like as much.
