Bought to use with new Tamron 150-600 lens which has an Arca-Swiss bracket. Worked very well with the ball flipped to the side as a pseudo-gimbal.
Very smooth and easy to work with. No problem holding a 5DmkIII+70-200 f/2.8, even at odd angles. Very smooth pan. Pre-load works by setting how far out you can set the tension knob. Basic but it seems to work. Pretty amazing value.
Only had the ball head for a week. This is what I should of had years ago. Recommend this for everyone.
Excellent products, excellent service!
Nimble and easy one hand use make this Ball Head wonderful ! I thought the price point was reasonable for a professional piece of equipment.
I bought this tripod to use with my Induro tripod. The Arca-style quick release is taking some getting used to. I moved up from my old style Manfrotto quick release. The operation is very smooth and has no problem holding my 100-400mm with the 5DMark3.
Well built and has performed initially very well. This is a large ball head, that appears to be able to handle most any load thrown at it. All adjustments operate smoothly and maintain the position/setting selected. The plate and associated hardware all match the same quality manufacturering.
Flawless!!!!i want another one!
I purchased this ballhead to pair with my gitzo tripod. So far I'm quite enjoying the solid feel of this head. I mostly do macro photography and wanted a head that was going to be stable and would allow me to fine tune the focus without having the lens drop when I release the focus ring on the lens.
Although I have only limited usage with the K-30X, I am fully pleased with the strength, stability, and feel of the bullhead. Quality is excellent in all aspects; very stable with a D800 and 70-300 zoom lens. Degree markings on the panning movement is nice to have.
