The Sigma 70mm f2.8 DG Macro Art is a great lens. It can shoot great images, they’ll be sharp, and the photos will be crisp. There is no doubting this. But the autofocus will be fussy at times. On top of all this, I wonder why Sigma chose to go f2.8 instead of f2.
The Sigma 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro Art is an affordable macro lens that delivers outstanding image quality in a format that can be effectively used hand-held as well as mounted on a tripod.
Amazing, stunning image qualityBy gerald w.I am a pro of over 40 years in the business. I have used excellent macro lenses from Nikon, Canon and Sony. I got this lens just a few days ago and have been test shooting it with both my Sony A7RIII and A7III and am blown away by its sharpness and...
Used this lens for some macro beauty as soon as I received it. Super sharp and with great contrast. Comparable to the 90mm fe it you don't need the extra 20mm. Just as sharp and AF is just as quick for a macro lens. Paired with my a7rii.
I take photos as a hobby. I have this lens mounted to my Sony A7II and Ive had it for about two weeks. While using it for macro shots, I have it mounted on a tripod and in manual focus mode.
As a professional photographer, I had many different brands and types of macro lenses. This Sigma Art 70mm f2.8 is one of the bests I ever had. Nicely constructed, first grade materials and supremely sharp!
I received my Sigma 70mm Macro Art Lens for Sony E today . I absolutely love it. The bokeh is smooth and dreamy. Lens is tact sharp. Combined with the Sony A7rm2 it is a winning conbination.
