The Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG APO macro came close to a surprise but it still hasn´t won the cigar. It delivered pretty decent results in most aspects, specifically at 70mm and 200mm, but at 300mm the border resolution is nothing short of dismal - certainly not apochromatic as claimed by Sigma...

Enjoy Using Lens for capturing small game while sitting in my car Birds are on my watchful eyes. I take my camera with my Sigma Lens to the Little League and get excellent range sitting in the bleachers watching the youth of America play baseball.

As per usual, screw a filter on the end to protect the lens.

Focuses great - sharp and relatively quick. Doesn't feel very heavy around the neck for a big lens, I can use it for hours before I need a break. Works great for shooting wildlife, portraits and landscapes. The price is great.

This lens delivers awesome, tack sharp photos, but the lens is very poorly constructed and terribly fragile, with the auto focus extremely vulnerable to damage and locking up thereafter. I have now had two of these lenses fail me within the past two years, the second lasting only six months.

There's no doubt this lens is the best bang for the buck. The image quality is equal to the Sony lens that came with my camera.

I bought this lens before a wedding in order to catch the expressions of the guests from afar. The controls are easy and the auto-focus rapid. Even in low light, the pictures were crisp. The price/performance is superb.

I use this lens for landscape, wildlife and trains in motion. I use a tripod at all times with this lens. I do not miss a vibration reduction as you can't use that feature with a tripod. The money I saved went to a road trip. It takes a nice sharp picture and easy to read settings.

This is a great lens which may be picked up on a budget. Good telephoto and starter lens for those interested in macro photography. After using this lens for a week, I was very pleased with the sharpness and colors produced.

I bought this lens to replace the exact same lens. Works great for telephoto and for macro use. For a 300mm lens, I really love it.

I didn't know what kind of photos I was going to get with the lens at this price but it was the best investment ever!!! When I take photos and show them to other people they don't believe the price I paid for the Lens. Works well and gets the job done with great quality photos!!

My first Sigma lens, I am glad I took the leap. When steadied it takes crisp clear shots at all zoom ranges with adequate lighting. The Macro feature of the lens works nicely also.
