The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM ART is an impressive lens both physically as well as regarding its creative potential. However, its extreme credentials don't come for free. Yes, it offers an insane max. aperture at this focal length but at least technically you won't find greatness at f/1.8.

It arrived prior to my leaving for an expedition to Antarctic so I took it along and it proved to be an excellent way to shoot massive icebergs at water level up close from a zodiac.
Attached is the first image out of the box with this lens. This is a great lens for shooting anything in low light and you know with ultra wide lenses you have to work the location a little to find the best angle/s as the parallax comes with the territory...
Tried this lens for an interiors/architecture shoot w/ the Canon 5D IV. The distortion is severe and completely unacceptable. This is really just a glorified fisheye. Maybe it's great for shooting stars at night or something like other people say. But NOT a good lens for architecture/interiors.
