Shure WL185 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone

I have specd in this mic for its cardioid pattern and tonal quality as a standard over the last 20 years. Remember to show preists to place it where their chin touches their chest and your eq should be trimmed back at mid bass.

Used it on an outside wedding gig in south Georgia on an extremely hot & humid day with a slight breeze. No wind noise with the included wind-screen included. Good pickup of the minister, which is why I purchased it as I do sound reinforcement for weddings, bands & smaller outdoor events.

I used the unit at a wedding and works great at long distances.

We use this mic with a wireless unit in Church and it works perfectly. Never had any problems.

I have used wireless mics for years for public speaking. I recently needed to purchase a backup system for an older one I had been using. I purchased a Shure, but it came with a smaller flatter, omnidirectional microphone. I bought this mic as a replacement for that one.

I purchased 2 of these mics, to upgrade from the pg185 lavaliers that came with my Shure Performance Gear Units. 300% improvement these mics sound great no dropouts, pickup is excellent my main use for these mics are speaking engagements and stage plays.

This is an overall great Lav Mic. Its pretty forgiving and sounds great for most applications!

This microphone has replaced our usual one. Thankful for this technology.

Easy to assemble, like the lock on the windscreen, works fine, like the smooth clamps where it mounts to clothing
