I’ve been using the Shure Beta58 for four years now. I own four. It’s my go-to vocal mic for all live sound gigs. Feed back is much easier to control over the SM58 with I used since I was 21.I’m 57 now. That mic finally gave up the ghost 4 years ago. That’s when I decided to upgrade to the Beta.

This mic is great for the price. I got it and plugged it into my unit amp and the sound was great, I finally heard the truth quality of my voice. It was like using a sound board to make my voice sound good. This mic does it already, set to go and record my voice.

Dependable, Attractive and make me sound good. I am 62 yrs of age retiree played music back in the 70's. I used Sure Mikes than and I sill use them . There's a lot of new brands out there but you still want find anything better. And you can't beat the price. So why change a good thing.

This is a great sounding mic and is built fantastically, just as you would expect from Shure!

Ahhh...this is the reason u choose certain mics...sound quality. I know it sounds good, but my main issue with it is it has too much BITE for my voice. Too much presence. The first time I recorded with this I just had to EQ it WAAAAY down.

Love this microphone! I run karaoke and use this for my singers and they love it and love the way they sound using this microphone. I you are a singer this microphone is a must have. Well built and the Shure name says it all

We have always used the BETA 58's for about 35 or 40 years! They are the most reliable and best sounding in their class.

Really Can't go wrong with this mic. Its still a crazy durable dynamic mic like the sm58 but allows for much higher gain to feedback on axis. The polar pattern could give you issues if your talent is used to cardioid mics and not willing to listen.

I've been seeking the right live mic for a female alto voice. The frequency range, response, and feedback threshold are great. There are finer pricier mics but this covers the base very well.
