The shure Beta 87A has a three phase pop filter that will almost complete take away all of your breath and pop sounds. I have dealt with may Shure Microphones over the last 25 years and I have never had the satisfaction that I have had with the Beta 87 A.

I had sung through Shure Beta 87As a couple of times, when using PAs other then mine, and noticed that my voice sounded better through them than it had with supercardiod Beta 57 and 58 mics. The 87As are more expensive so I put in a search on eBay and this one showed up.

I didn't know condenser mic needs 48v to power up. At first, I thought I got the defective unit, until one of my friend instructed me how to proper use it. This mic has great sound, very good for worshipping at Church. I highly recommended.

Great vocal Mic. I had been using a SM58A Beta (which I have used for several years), but like the 87A much better. Clean full sounding Mic. If you have a 58 or beta 58A try this mic . I am sure you will love it as much as I do.
