I noticed all of the bigger stage/venues had this mic. You can get so much range from this half cardiod. Only issue I had, was that my mixer didn't have a way for me to take enough mids out and was causing it to clip. Better mic, required a better mixer.

This mic was everything that it was built to be! Great construction and awesome performance. I use it as an inner kick mic. Switching from the AKG D-112, I had to get used to the high end attack. After adjusting, I am finding a secure place for it in the mix!

Great mic, I've been looking for a good beater side kick mic for a while. I've tried several options but they were always at least a little intrusive or needed to be heavily gated. The sound of the beta 91a is immediately satisfying; the switch on the underside cuts right where I'd like.

One of the best kick mics I’ve used! In Studio or Live this mic gives you a great warm sound. Totally recommend.

This half cardioid condenser boundary mic will rock your kick. The beta 91a is specifically engineered for low frequency applications. With a built in mic pre-amp it really helps for low volume settings as well. This mic requires no external mounting and can just sit in a kick drum ready to roll.

Great on kick drum ,I have tried numerous mics on kick drum and this one has got it.

I use it in my kick drum when I need to be miked. The great thing is the punch I get from my kick drum. The convenience of not needing a small stand in front of my bass drum is another thing I like about it. It is a little pricey but worth the money.

Take a little 400hz out and close to the beater and this is one of the best kick drum mics on the market

This is an amazing microphone. With it flat response throughout its frequency range (20Hz - 20KHz) it captures the attack the kick drum very well. Its made to withstand any punishment you throw at it.
