This mic is great for the price. I got it and plugged it into my unit amp and the sound was great, I finally heard the truth quality of my voice. It was like using a sound board to make my voice sound good. This mic does it already, set to go and record my voice.
Except for the power supply, I would give this 5 stars. The mic sounds great, reception is good, and the rechargeable battery is excellent. 15 hours of use and extremely quick to re-charge. Now the bad, the power supply is terrible. The wire on the DC side is extremely thin and fragile.
This is a great sounding mic and is built fantastically, just as you would expect from Shure!
Really Can't go wrong with this mic. Its still a crazy durable dynamic mic like the sm58 but allows for much higher gain to feedback on axis. The polar pattern could give you issues if your talent is used to cardioid mics and not willing to listen.
Dependable, Attractive and make me sound good. I am 62 yrs of age retiree played music back in the 70's. I used Sure Mikes than and I sill use them . There's a lot of new brands out there but you still want find anything better. And you can't beat the price. So why change a good thing.
Beta 58A performs under all conditions. I have much more expensive miss ready at hand but if I don't want to take a risk and know that i need a resilient mic to come along with me I choose beta 58A under all conditions.
I've been seeking the right live mic for a female alto voice. The frequency range, response, and feedback threshold are great. There are finer pricier mics but this covers the base very well.
Used to only amplified mics used in broadcasting, I was happy that this mic utilized much less vocal power to drive than other sure dynamics. The sound was mellow and natural (used for speaking only).
These mics sound great especially for the price. A step above the tried and true SM58. You can't go wrong with Shure mics, especially if you are on a budget!
The Beta 58A does exactly what it says. Honestly if you have been using the same old mic for years give it a shot. It will revitalize your voice and your singing.
