Beta 58A performs under all conditions. I have much more expensive miss ready at hand but if I don't want to take a risk and know that i need a resilient mic to come along with me I choose beta 58A under all conditions.
This mic is the perfect all around go to mic for any application. I have the beta 87 and the Ksm9 condenser microphones but when it come down to areas where it is difficult to eq the condenser mics, this is always my next choice and am always impressed with the well rounded sound from it!!
The "be all end all" of gigging microphones. 12 yrs. of live and practice use has proven its durability!!! Tremendous, clear vocal acuity!
This mic is an awesome vocal mic especially when paired with the Monster Pro cable's. NO clicks, pop's or distortion from the mic. You can have it pointing right at the speakers and no feedback. Love this mic. Ya won't find a better one for the price, and ya definitely won't be disappointed.
Not a condenser mic.I will have the best handheld Shure condenser mic one day!
I'v been using beta 58 for my studio vocal recording and its better than many studio vocal condenser don't forget U2,Björk and many professional artist used beta58 for their album....
