Applications | Connect the 520DX directly into a guitar amplifier to produce the classic blues harp sound. Use the following guidelines: The volume control on the microphone should be turned down before plugging it into an amplifier. As you move away from the amplifier, the volume can be turned up. Adjust the microphone's volume control knob during performances as needed. For example, when switching from playing rhythm to lead or to place the microphone on standby between sets. To avoid feedback, maintain as much distance as possible from monitors or loudspeakers. Adjust the volume of monitors or loudspeakers at the mixing console so that no feedback is present when the volume control knob on the harmonica microphone is at its maximum setting. NOTE: The volume setting of the guitar amplifier may have a significant effect on the overall tone produced. Experiment with different microphone and amplifier volume settings to achieve the desired effect. |

so happy with the sound of the Green Bullet, but the very omni recording pattern meant it picked up everything in the room. for some purposes that may be ideal, it wasn't for mine. in short: very cool very specific piece
Love this mic for my harmonica parts. I use to play my harmonica parts through my vocal mic. Got this one and I love it. I love the sound, the comfort of the mic in my hand. I love the volume control. It comes in handy when the rest of the band gets louder and I can adjust the volume on the fly.
Perfect mike for blues harp, not for vocal Sound I play harp with this mike for 15 years through a Fender bassman, and it simply has the best sound I've ever heard. Quality Absolutely robust and high quality Value Much better than any other harp mike, and I have played them all The Wow Factor It can...
Great mic for the harp. It has a lot of output, so knock 20db off your DI box or you will overdrive things.
it gives me the sound I,m looking for in a harmonica mic. The volume control is definitely a big plus. If your blowin harp- this is the mic to use.
Put this my Mic beside your fav. Microphone when recording Vocals, Drag the Volume down on your Daw, after your take, start to raise the volume of the green bullet, and watch the magic happening in the midrange, PUNCHY & WITTY. The reason i got this microphone was mainly for my harmonica set.
If you are looking for that classic Chicago Blues sound, obviously this isn’t going to be as good as an expensive crystal element mic. However, this comes pretty close in my opinion. It’s built like a tank and is pretty bomb-proof.
The compressed & slightly distorted vocals sound perfect through this microphone (designed for harmonica). Sounds like a loud hailer but with clear vocals. Jack plug straight into PA with volume control on the bottom of the mic. Clips to hold it can be found on the internet.
Bought this mic to add coloured lo-fi vocals, which it does perfectly. Great fun sending through cheap guitar fx pedals to screw things up even more! The shape allows you to use your palm to filter your voice, just like a harp player.
Does the job more than adequately even makes me sound good
