Worked great for about 2 an 1/2 years then the LED screen crapped out via a Green vertical line. Will NEVER buy a Sharp product again.
I bought this TV last month as a replacement for my aging Sony Bravia 1080p 60". The TV is amazing. Near perfect in every way and definitely the best value in UHD. That said, i have a issue with it. THE REMOTE.
I'm pleased thus far with the Sharp Aquos 4K Ultra HD's performance, however this TV requires some getting use to. With that said, I'm very happy at this point in time with my purchase. Jerry Milsap
I was at the initial US launch of the LG 84 inch ultra HD. The price tag on that and the corresponding Sony set hasn't moved down a dollar so I was very pleased when Sharp introduced the 70 inch UHD. There is 17% more screen area than a 65 inch but it looks bigger.
This is a cool TV but it could be better for the price resolution is good somewhat as well as the upscale but there is some motion blur. And peoples complexions are sometimes off but I like the features I like the size which is why I chose this TV hopefully somewhere downline a software update could...
Do not buy this tv, or any sharp tv at all. In 5 years we already exchanged 3 of them, and had to pay 700$ more cause it was out of warranty only a month.
Owned this tv for 1 year. Board has gone out there is not one to replace it with. UNREPAIRABLE I paid 4999 at HH gregg for it bought warranty its now online for 2999. Cant be fixed remember if you buy it online.... Great picture when it worked.
Just as all the other users have said, this TV lacks the support to make it 4k. Now that 4k content from netflix along with Samsungs 4k dvd player are here, none of them work with this TV due to the lack support for it. I don't think Sharp will do anything about it, they just moved on.
Don't buy this TV if you are looking for 4K I bought this TV 2 years ago only to discover there was no content to be found for 4K. Fast forwarding to today, there is finally some content available out there through Netflix but the encoding required by Netflix (2.2) is not supported by this TV.
DO NOT buy this or any other sharp. Unfortunately this unit died after 14 months and Sharp told us they would not cover an repairs because it was out of warranty. Do your research and look at the reviews here, on Sharps website and on other review sites. You will see this is not an isolated issue.
