The Sharp HT-SB60’s prowess for detail, wide stereo image, and sheer power brings a lot to the table when it comes to movies. But the severity of the metallic treble created a constant battle between dulling its raw edge, and extracting the finer detail it’s capable of reproducing.

Clear detail for movie content, Powerful low end, Good stereo expanse
-
-
Extremely sibilant treble, Frequency balance issues, especially with music, May be too big for some TV stands
The Sharp HT-SB60 is one of the best-performing sound bars we've tested, although its extra-long size and lack of Bluetooth will give some buyers pause.

+
The Sharp HT-SB60 ultralong sound bar delivers a huge sound, besting smaller systems and handling even music well. It also packs two HDMI inputs, which is handy if your TV doesn't have many ports.

The HT-SB60 lacks built-in Bluetooth, so you'll need a separate device for wireless audio streaming. Its huge size means it won't fit nicely in most living rooms, and it looks awkward with TVs smaller than 60 inches.
One of the few soundbars built for 60-inch HDTVs, the powerful Sharp HT-SB60 produces an expansive sound field for movies if you don't mind a slightly bright sound and hefty price tag.

Excellent bass and midrange. Wide, full sound field thanks to the size.

-
Expensive. Slightly bright high end.
Like the other review - breaks after a year, does not sync, subwoofer does not pair.

+
Nothing

Does not work
The sound bar is a real nice go between the speakers built into a TV set and the hassle of a true surround sound system. The ease of plug and play and depth in sound make up for any shortcomings.

Overall the unit is a great buy. It is on the higher side of price for some of its capabilities but it sounds great and has good aesthetic appeal. The unit is equipped with Arc and as such can be hooked to the tv via HDMI if your set has an Arc HDMI hookup.

My only true con about this unit is that it is too tall to place under a Sharp 857u tv set. It looks like between 2012/2013 sets the units now sit lower and thus the sound bar covers the remote sensor for the 857u.
Very good and easy to install. The sound is good, but I thought it would be a little louder. The wireless subwoofer is great!
Excellent purchase
I have the SB60. Had it for about 13 months then it stopped working. After three calls with Sharp tech, no one can figure it out. My only option is to buy a new one (not going to happen). If you are looking for a good quality product that will last for more than a year this is not it.
