I bought my 1st on some where in 04, 05 . It is still going strong in 17. I been a vocalist for over 30 years. I am rough on mics. This one with stood a beating from me. I never had a problem with it and it still sounds great. I have even used it in the studio as my recording mic.
I don't really know mics at all. I mostly use them to host open mic nights locally, but I don't sing. I was using some super cheap mics that I thought sounded fairly clear but occasionally noticed how muddy they sounded.
Amazing mics for the price, after discovering zZounds I only buy my equipment from them only, super fast deliver, awesome equipment just as described. A plus without a doubt. These mics are some of the best I've ever used Thanks ZZ
One of our HH mic was making a awful sound after testing with other capsule notice we needed a new one , now our mic is back as new!
The Sennheiser E835 has been my go to Mic for as long as it has been on the market. When you buy a microphone what you are buying, and what should be your main concern is the frequency response.
This mic does the job. Not as hot as my last mic which was 40 years old. So I have to get a little closer than I did, but I do enjoy it!
Less proximity effect than most, very little handling noise. Brighter than 57/58 but not quite as much bottom. Excellent stage mic, bulletproof instrument mic for drums, cabs, horns. At this price, there should be several in the mic locker!
We had one of these mics already (without the switch) so I had an idea of the audio quality. Adding the switch, and foam wind screens (purchased separately) along with educating the board members on proper mic usage, and the New Bose L1 Model 2 with B2 bass module sound system has completely solved...
This is an excellent mic. It works better than others that are priced much higher. I am very glad I got the one with a switch.
Just got these in and used them at a karaoke show last night. Have always bought the cheap mic's just in case someone decided to swing the mic around and/or drop one on stage. They sounded great. Very crisp and clear. I could tell every time that I missed a note when singing.
