Sennheiser E945 - Supercardioid Dynamic Handheld Vocal Microphone

I have more affordable mics and a more expensive one. The more expensive one sounds great, but is very sensitive to handling noise. This mic is a great compromise - sensitive, clean, accurate, but not much handling noise. A great accomplishment !

I got this for doing interviews for an art photography project, and it works great. The sound is rich and well rounded with very little ambient intrusion due to the excellent side rejection. I am recording with a four track recorder strapped under my DSLR and then feeding it back into the camera.

I love the Sennheiser brand in general. I have 4 wireless mikes by them and a couple for miking guitar amps and now a couple handheld ones. I like that the mikes are good at rejecting feedback. I like to move around and off the stage and I usually can do so without fear of feedback.

Excellent vocal mic for live performance. High gain before feedback. Very clean, clearer sound. For our group, these have replaced the beta 58s.

One of the best mics for a full sound throughout the whole spectrum. I've used other mics in the same range, and usually come back to this mic. Clear, full lows, present and not hyped. Get it.

Bought both the 945 and 935 mics and compared them on stage and in the studio at length. The f/b from the 945 rendered it unusable with my stage monitor, although I may have preferred it for low end detail over the 935 in the controlled studio setting using headphones.

For over a decade I used a Shure SM58 for live performances. While it worked well for singing, audiences would have trouble understanding me when I was just talking in between songs.

I don't have a lot of experience with knowing what equipment to buy. My band mate recommended I get this microphone. I am a high soprano and many times people at our gigs would tell me they couldn't hear my voice on top of the instruments. This microphone fixed that!

I have to say I was a little skeptical about it being that much better than a Sure 58, but after trying it out for the first time I was sold. What a great mic. Musical Background: I've been playing for 48 years. keyboards,drums,guitar. Play with a Classic rock gruop.

We just finished a couple of gigs after the pandemic and people remarked how the sound was better and the vocals much clearer. I would have never thought of giving up my beta 58 but there is a remarkable improvement with the e945. I can't recommend it enough. A great price for a great mic.
