I don’t think for the price you can get any better and for that reason it gets the Editors Choice Award. The Sennheiser CX 300-II just sounds balanced throughout the ranges and offers a high level of detail. It offers excellent sound, excellent comfort and it is affordable.

Given the weighty sound of the CX300’s they’re well suited to rock and dance, but they impart a warmth that is also good with jazz. But that’s not to say they’re not detailed as they unearth parts of the music some other headphones can obscure. But most important of all, they make music fun.

When Sennheiser launched its CX300 earphones a couple of years ago they were snapped up as an inexpensive way of upgrading the budget sets that come with iPods and other MP3 players.

Price not as attractive as it might have been.
Right ear bud started crackling about a month after I bought these headphones. I would not recommend them.
I bought my pair of Sennheiser earphones because they were on sale for $29.99, down from their common price of $59.99. I needed something to accompany my portable media player while I was on a trip. From my experience with Sennheiser , I assumed these would be quite good.
