Grover tuning machines with a TonePros tune-o-matic bridge provide tuning stability and tonal sustain. Before this model was introduced, existing 8-string pickups sounded muddy and dull on the low F# string, especially when trying to hit artificial and natural harmonics, but the 808 eliminates all those problems. Featuring Alnico V loaded wide aperture coils we were able to beef up that Low F# tone and at the same time provide a more responsive super tight overall sound.3-pc Maple neck w/carbon fiber reinforcement rodsMade with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.
