Some lenses are a real pleasure to use, and the Samyang AF 35mm f/2.8 FE falls into this category. The technical quality is excellent, the AF is fast and accurate and the results look punchy with superb colour rendition.

Very affordable and does the job, very good aperture of 2.8 for low light conditions. Quiet focus mechanism.

Just received my copy today and at first blush it clicks a lot of boxes on my a7r3. Mounting is totally solid and that's the last time I'll touch this lens.- First off, AF is not only immediate and accurate but essentially silent in AF-C mode. Reviews may reflect earlier models.

I wanted a very light 35mm lens for my Sony A7ii that didnt sacrifice resolution. My test shows this lens is nearly as sharp (at f5.6) as my awesome Sony 55mm f1,8, but much more compact and far cheaper. It seems to autofocus fast and surely.

Great lens for my A7ii. Youll love this little pancake lens when you need to travel light.

Razor sharp is an expression that is over used but I believe that it apples here. Every shot has great edge definition. In one photo of a water tower that was perhaps 200 hundred yards away, I could still clearly read the writing on the tank.

I first read a lot of reviews and watched videos comparing the Samyang and Sony Zeiss respectively, and even tho it got good reviews, I chose the Samyang because my wallet dictated that. However, I do not feel cheated.

The tiny size, low price and minuscule weight made this lens look like a great carry-around option for the A7RIII. But none of those considerations matter at all if the image quality is sub-par. I actively disliked the look of the pictures I made with it.

This lens have a good size, is very light and does the job, unfortunatelyits not even a year that I bought it and I already have problems with it, every time i turn on my camera the shutterbegins to open and close without stopping.

Performs well. Doesnt come with a lens hood and the lens cap tends to fall off if bumped at all.

You already read reviews on how sharp this lens is. What many reviewers dont discuss is how the lens performs at night. Here are some observations:For objects that are illuminated by nearby lights, such as streetlights or flood lights, the images are sharp.
