Handling and features This lens is available to fit many different types of cameras, including Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony and Four Thirds SLRs as well as Samsung NX mirrorless cameras and costs around £260.
Korean optics company Samyang is known for fully manual lenses and superb optical quality, and this ultra-wide 14mm has a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 which lets you capture stunning scenes in low light...
If you can live with the inherent distortion and the lack of autofocusing, the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens provides by far the cheapest way to get a really wide-angle lens that can produce sharp images.
Although this basic lens may not be for everyone, those looking for an ultra-wide lens, which is capable of delivering excellent quality when used within its limitations can't go far wrong with this 14mm from Samyang.

Extremely inexpensive, Excellent sharpness in the centre at f/2.8 and across the frame when stopped down to f/5.6 or beyond, Good build, Relatively lightweight, Extremely low CA levels
-
-
Wavy distortion, Falloff of illumination towards the corners, No hyperfocal scale or hard infinity stop
What could be written here? To tell you the truth I would recommend even the previous version of the Samyang 2.8/14 without scruple. The improved model, although a bit more expensive, has really much more to offer.

decent build quality,, sensational image quality in the frame centre,, very good image quality at the edge of an APS-C/DX sensor,, fully acceptable image resolution at the edge of full frame,, chromatic aberration medium at most,, well-corrected coma,, properly corrected vignetting on a small...

high and complicated distortion,, significant vignetting on full frame,, you can’t use any filters.
I got this lens to take Milky Way, star and night photos. As many have mentioned it takes some time to figure out where infinity is on this lens. For me, infinity is equal to the 3mm indicator on the focus ring.
My test on a D850: bad for f / 2.8, regular on f / 4, good on f / 5.6 and excellent from f / 8 to f / 16. In f / 22 quality falls in the center. All numbers f considering the entire frame.
im often shooting in low light situations outdoors and this lens produced decent results. would not recommend to someone who relies on AF but it is great for landscape.
one of the best options in wide angles.a very clear and easy-to-use manual lens.100% recommended.
lens is great for beginners and non professional. in cloudy daylight wide open at 2.8 edges and corners do get soft and there is chromatic aberration present. center is pretty sharp in comparison to kit lens.
I purchased this lens for landscape photography, specifically shooting timelapses. Out of the box this lens has a solid quality feel. Focus is smooth and build quality seems very good.
I bought this lens for landscape photography, particularly time lapses. Didnt need autofocus so I saved about $300 compared to the autofocus version of this lens. I was primarily concerned about clarity of images.
I just started using this on my Canon EOS R. It works flawlessly and is very sharp! Focusing is well damped and the images are great! Very simple, its great!
For the money the lens is surprisingly good. I have it mounted to my Sony A7R and although it is not synced with the camera, the camera easily compensates the shutter speed. A bit soft around the edges but the photos I have taken are excellent overall.
