It is an exceptional value for the money, I could not believe it how sharp it is wide open at F2.8 from edge to edge with absolutely no decentering issue which is very common problem with some of the lenses.The workmanship is excellent better than some of Sony lenses.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this lens, the quality of workmanship is outstanding, the lens is sharp even wide open from edge to edge, no decentering problem whatsoever. Stopping it down even by one F stop is impressively tack sharp.
A relatively new lens so I decided to "take a chance with Samyang". I don't have any regrets about the optical quality of the lens, it's sharp and renders nice colours. Build is strong and solid and has a simple design.A standard plastic bayonet mounted lens hood is supplied as is a soft carry bag.
Great lens for a good price
This lens makes awesome pictures!
I original ordered Samyang manual focus version of this lens. While it was well made I was not happy with its performance. I Decided to try Samyang AF version, this is not the same lens at all. It is a completely new design and function.
