Better than I expected. Manual focus is not a problem since the depth of field is almost 0 to infinity. Set it once and forget it for the most part. Very good build quality, smooth mounting and removing, smooth focus ring and aperture ring.
It served quite adequately on a full frame Sony A7r using 1.4x Clear Image Zoom, but 8mm was just too short for my landscape work. It resisted flare & also rendered quite sharply w/ macro tubes for closeup work.
Takes great, sharp photos on a 1.6x crop sensor. If you use it on a 1.3x crop sensor you'll end up with a circular (or partially circular) image. Very happy with the lens for the price.
This is a steal for 200$ it doesn't have the blurry edges, and is easy to operate If you know what you're doing on your camera. If there's anything past 4 feet you just go to the infinity sign. Just wish they could create one lens that does everything
everything good!! i luv it
Very happy with this lens and also very surprised at the quality for the cost. Personally, I don't care that it's a manual lens. It's so wide that everything is in focus most of the time anyways if you leave the focus ring near infinity.
refirb.....good deal, great lens!
High quality images using my Canon 70D. Incredible sharpness. High quality construction, feels very solid, great feel to the focus and aperture rings (fully manual) beautiful appearance as well (love the giant front element).
Works as good as the Sigma lens for almost all applications.
I've had terrific results with this lens - I use it mostly for landscape photography, on a DX sensor Nikon. Exposure is perfect, and i pretty much leave it set to infinite focus.
