The unique design of this lens should certainly appeal to those who record video with their DSLR. Although the lens is perfectly capable of shooting stills as well, those who primarily take images, rather than videos may want to look towards the slightly cheaper standard version of this lens.

We were very curious about the results of this review. Recently, we have been positively surprised by Samyang 85 mm f/1.4, which, around maximum aperture, could face even the most renowned competitors. Now, Samyang 8 mm f/3.5 finally arrived.

Did my usual research and decided this lens would be a great addition to my Kit. ..High quality build, easy to use...great fisheye effect and a super wide landscape lens...Great value and will bring anyone diversity with thier photographic efforts. ..Very pleased with this, my first Samyang lens.
I did some research before buying a wide angle lens. Not wanting to spend a fortune for a lens that I won't use too often, I am very pleased with the quality of this product. Best quality for the price!
Excellent reasonable priced fisheye lens. Totally manual as it doesn't talk to any camera. It's easy to set up just set the aperture to 5.6, focus to infinity and sort out the exposure by shutter speed. Only had it a couple of weeks but very impressed with the results.
