The Samsung S95B is one of the first in a new wave of OLED TVs to hit the market, aiming to take panel technology beyond its current limitations. It’s a QD-OLED (which stands for Quantum Dot OLED), and the S95B and Sony’s A95K are the first TVs to adopt the panel technology.
Impressively slim screen, Great for gaming, Expressive and colourful picture performance, Big, loud audio performance, Great viewing angles, For the brightest OLED yet The S95B is the brightest OLED we’ve tested and its picture quality is largely excellent but does require tweaking in its HDR modes.
No Dolby Vision, Sluggish smart remote, Picture settings require tweaking, Speakers suffer from bass distortion, If you want a more consistent picture performance In some regards the LG G2 is more consistent than the Samsung and the Sony A95K produces brilliant 4K HDR images and better motion...
The Samsung S95B requires a bit of legwork to get the very best from its stunningly designed new slice of TV tech, but the picture results are sensational enough to justify the effort.
Incredible ultra-slim design, Ground-breaking picture quality, Surprisingly affordable
No Dolby Vision support, Unfriendly smart TV interface, Presets need tweaking
While not always the most subtle performer, the S95B QD-OLED delivers thrills aplenty Spectacularly vibrant and dynamic Peerless viewing angles Excellent gaming support Needs tweaking for best results Imperfect skin tones Some brightness instability
A quantum leap for OLED?
We look at the first QD-OLED from Samsung, the S95B. Is this the new benchmark when it comes to OLED TV thanks to its quantum dot colour volume?
What a picture
Too much samsung bloat apps
Got the TV 3 days ago. I am still playing with the settings, but can't believe the contrast and brightens much better than my old QF7 Samsung. Biggest problem is the cable management. If you have good quality Cables it's difficult to get them in the cable slot in the support.
We have 3-65 inch tvs in our home. This one is my favorite. Picture quality is the best, the volume level is far superior than the others.
I've gotten to see the full range of this TV, picture quality is breathtaking and HDR content really Pops! Reds and Blues on this tv are some of the deepest and most vivid i've seen on any tv so far!
This TV has to be one of the most gorgeous, smoothest televisions I've ever seen in all my years of living. It compliments my PS5 perfectly, and watching movies on it are *chefs kiss* Get this TV today! You won't regret it.
Awesome. Just awesome. Wish Samsung would include support for Dolby Vision.
