A year after release, there's a lot to like about the Galaxy Watch Active 2 especially now that ECG is finally available.
Comfortable during workouts and when sleeping. Same VO2 max and trip detection as the Watch 3. Updated running coach works if you can live with the Bixby voice. Touch bezel to navigate between menus. Comes in two sizes, with an LTE option.
Battery life on the smaller 40mm version takes a beating during workouts, especially with the always-on display active. ECG is only available when tied to a Galaxy phone.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 has received a heap of new features that make it a seriously excellent smartwatch in 2021. Its mix of price, compact sporty build and decent health features put it at the top table of smartwatch options, with plenty of deals available.
Still a lovely smartwatch to wear, Rotating bezel, Feature-packed for the price, ECG and blood pressure
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is a chic smartwatch with many functions. Compared to the Galaxy Watch Active, which was introduced in February together with the Galaxy S10 , the leaps forward are small.
Flawless performance, Excellent AMOLED display, Digital bezel works well, Attractive design, Always-on display
Samsung bloatware required, Bixby is still awful, Poor third-party app support
“With LTE, ECG, and more apps and sensors, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is among the best smartwatches you can buy.”
The Samsung Galaxy Active2 smartwatch adds LTE connectivity along with a few useful new features, but it's not a compelling upgrade over the original model.
Digital rotating bezel makes navigation easier., Available in two sizes., LTE connectivity.
Inconsistent battery life and fitness accuracy in testing., Limited iOS compatibility., Thick bezel.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 LTE’s big USP is the 4G connectivity and the new touch-based bezel. At Rs 35,990 the watch is not exactly cheap, but if you want constant connectivity on your watch, then it is certainly more affordable than Apple ’s LTE Watches in the market.

Looks great. MyStyle is fun. Fixed heart rate monitoring issues. Good battery life. A dang-near perfect smartwatch.
The step and GPS distance tracking is laughably bad.
The Active2 is one of the best you can get for those without iOS phones
Android’s best Apple Watch contender
This watch is more than just a watch. You can use the Bluetooth to take and make calls. The speaker is pretty loud and clear. You have the ability to check your email and open apps. You can check and send text messages, check your hear bpm, track workouts, and so many other functions.
Very nice smart watch. I have used it swimming and on the treadmill. It calculated my distance without my changing settings for each exercise. I love that I can text message or answer a phone call from the watch. I've only had it a week and so far my only complaint is how often I have to charge it.
The watch is great but the battery life isn't anywhere near the advertising. It's past my 14 day return so I'm stuck with a powerful watch without the power. It does charge fairly fast but I'm hoping a future upgrade helps it.
So far so good! Easy to set up as a smart watch. And real simple to use as a golf watch. Wonderful display. Great product!!
It's amazing how this little device has been a BIG help with losing weight and getting more active. Plus it's so easy to customize it for your needs and lifestyle. My wife got a FitBit and had had no end of trouble with it. Samsung really does a great job with it's products. Would buy again!
The features that I was looking for and use the most are exercise tracking, music playing, sleep tracking, alarm, and timer, and every single one of them works flawlessly. I love that the back of the watch doesn't dig so much into your wrist, as some other smart watches and fitness trackers do, and...
I have the Bluetooth version, I am able to send and receive text messages and calls on my watch. The watch face is bigger than what I was expecting and its the 40mm. However, I love it and it pairs easy with my s10. Battery life for me is about 2 days but I also put it on the goodnight setting.
I have had this watch for about 10 days now. I purchased this so that I can track my daily runs & cycling and still have access to my phone, without lugging my phone around. The call and text aspect of the phone is great and accomplishes that part of my intentions.
There are so many things you can do with this watch and it tracks a ton of information. Love it!
I went from a Fitbit Versa 2 to the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and I am so happy! Love that it has so many more features than my Fitbit, but it didn't break the bank like an Apple watch. I am constantly losing my phone, so it is nice to be able to read my texts and even pick up phone calls!
