Ultrawide curved monitors are impressive to behold. They just look great. They’re aesthetically pleasing, they create a luxuriant workspace that supplants typical two-monitor setups, and they’re immersive. Size and scope often compensate for any shortcomings a typical ultrawide monitor might have.
Stellar contrast ratio, Slick design, Luxuriantly large display, Excellent picture quality, Extremely accurate color after calibration
Video content can be hard to find, Speakers are sub-par
Big, bright and reasonably accurate, the 34-inch curved Samsung CF791 is a bit expensive for a FreeSync monitor but offers a generous feature set and solid performance for the money if you're a Radeon gamer.
The Samsung CF791 34-inch curved display is a great size for gaming, and the combination of a 100Hz refresh rate and FreeSync pairs well with midrange Radeon cards. Plus, its color is pleasing.
It only has two USB ports and the integrated stand makes life awkward for VESA mounters.
Use this for double screening for work. Beats trying to get two monitors working. Best price I. Could find too from HN
I really love this monitor. Great for work, gaming and movies. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that there is a hot pixel that can be noticed occasionally and it's a bit frustrating.
I am not a games player, so my reasons for buying this were different to many other people. I am using this with Cubase for music production, but also with Photoshop and Daz 3d in combination with a Huion tablet. I am very impressed with the colours and sharpness - this kicks out a lot of light.
The monitor is great looking and functions well at 60hz however when you try clock it up to 100hz on display port 2 it flickers like crazy and crashes (regardless of whether freesync is running or not). Does not perform as advertised.
Positives first - picture quality is fantastic, and the move to ultrawide makes a massive difference to productivity. I moved from a 27” screen and loved the fact that the 34” Samsung is no taller, but wider enough to make a big difference, without seeming overwhelming.
First impressions are that it's a wonderful display - bright (... perhaps to a fault), clear - and this degree of curvature really works as a monitor. Despite the factory calibration, a quick adjustment via a gave a much more pleasant colour-cast.
Magnificent screen image best connected with HDMI. Allows great productivity. I had up to 5 screens open. Thought it might be too large be but it is great. Sound good enough ... all it needs is a built in camera!m
Purchased this for work, best decision made - huge difference to my viewing abilities for large documents
The screen is big. the curve definitely takes getting used to and some may never get used to it. The annoying thing about it is if you try to use a 4k source on the hdmi port the monitor doesn't like it and says resolution not supported. Not sure if it was just my sources or not.
bought this on boxing day 2017, the monitor was great, love it.
