Samsung BD-E5900 Blu-ray Disc Player

Samsung's most appealing Blu-ray player is under $200, handles a swathe of features including 3D, USB playback, Web browsing, streaming video on demand and apps. The interface is generally easy to navigate and the player works quickly and quietly.

  device loses connection to router via Wi-Fi and via cat6. Device freezes, apps fail to load.

I own three Samsung's SmartHub devices, a Samsung 40in 1080p 120Hz 3D Slim LED Smart TV (UN40ES6500F), Samsung BD-EM59C 3-d Blu-ray Disc Player and this Samsung BD-E5900 3-d Blu-ray Disc Player.

  This is a good 3D Blu-ray player with Samsung's SmartHub capability. Overall a pretty good player. Unfortunately this players software issues and Samsung's poor support makes this specific player a no-go.

  The SmartHub implementation on this player is buggy, and Samsung's message board is full of complaints about it. Especially the Hulu app, which simply does not work. Samsung has received a lot of complaints about this, but seems to be in a state of denial.
